Every month, Rushmore provides adventurous opportunities to get out and explore Southern Oregon.
This year includes 3 snowshoes, cosmic sledding, 3 rafting trips, Klamath Lake canoeing, Crater Lake Ziplining, rock climbing and mountain biking days, and our famous 18-hike series — so join us today!

SODA MOUNTAIN DESCRIPTION:
Hike up to explore an active fire tower and weather station that includes amazing southerly Mt. Shasta views. You bet!
Rushmore members rate this an “EM” FOR EASY-MODERATE adventure, as the climb to the summit is short but steep.
We wonder through rock fields and puffs of purple, red and yellow wildflowers for a short section of the Pacific Crest Trail before an often missed u-turn that rapidly climbs up to the Soda Mountain fire lookout.
The reward? Sunny Mt. Shasta views.
Just like life, it can be deceptively windy at the top, so bring layers, we’ll provide the smiles.
