The Rushmore Society, your Social Adventure Network of Very Busy People, invite all to join us as we venture up to Mt. Ashland, and follow the P.C.T. trail for a beautiful six mile round trip jaunt out and back to Grouse Gap.
Great views of Mt. Shasta, the top of Mt. Ashland, and of course, that special Rushmore vibe—welcoming, positive people getting out on the go! We’ve got fifteen hikes this summer, don’t miss a beat. RSVP NOW.

MORE ABOUT THE HIKE:
Whead up to Mount Ashland and the Pacific Crest Trail for a beautiful 3.2 mile out and back to Grouse Gap on the back side of the mountain. The trail provides great views of Shasta, fall wildflowers, the tip top of Mt. A. The Grouse Gap shelter is the perfect halfway point to stop for a quick bite and taking it all in.
Travel along with the Society as we pass through a mixed conifer forest, interesting granite rock formations, small mountain meadows, large cirque basins blanketed with columbine, scarlet, Indian paintbrush, lupines and mountain gentians.
