CARPOOL SPOT: N. Fred Meyer’s Locksmith Kiosk
CARPOOL MEET UP: 9:30am
CARPOOL DEPARTURE: 9:45am
RETURN TIME: 5pm

Scratch off another item our your Southern Oregon bucket list this winter with the Rushmore Society as we adventure around the rim of Crater Lake.
SNOWSHOEING and RENTAL INFORMATION:
GENERAL SNOWSHOEING: Snowshoeing is easy to learn, and can provide a great little workout to boot. Our Crater Lake Adventure is relatively flat, as we skit the edge of the rim of Crater Lake, finishing up on a fun little sledding hill.
For those looking for more fun and adventure, conditions may allow fitter participants to go further around the rim of the park. We say “Go For It”.
As always, the Rushmore Society is a social networking organization, not an outdoor guide group, so shoe at your own risk.
SNOWSHOE RENTALS: We suggest the following local businesses to rent snowshoes from: Mountain Provision in Ashland. The Northwest Outdoor Store in Medford. SOU Outdoor Program and Blackbird also has tons of stuff to rentals available.
WHEN TO RENT: Look to rent on Friday evening (check closing time of your preferred shop).
COST: Usually runs about $10-15 at most shops.
