Rushmore invites ALL our members to our famous Adventure Events in 2024!
Every month, Rushmore provides adventurous opportunities to get out and explore Southern Oregon.
This year includes 3 snowshoes, cosmic sledding, 3 rafting trips, Klamath Lake canoeing, Crater Lake Ziplining, rock climbing and mountain biking days, and our famous 18-hike series — so join us today!

HIKE DISTANCE: 3.5 miles
DESCRIPTION:
Rushmore members rate this “E” FOR EASY as we cover 3.5 – 4 miles with moderate elevation gain.
NOTE: we may explore some trails to add challenge and workout IF THE ENTIRE group wishes, making this a “moderate” level hike. Many options exist and we may have multiple leaders taking different routes. However, the main group will do the “easy” route.
We begin at Lithia Park Playground, and then wander our way to the along Ashland Creek before we switch back and rise up through the backside of the watershed.
This hike, we will not climb all the way to the top of the ridge.
Instead, we will “Loop” back though the maze of trails within the Park grounds.
Along the way, you’ll be rewarded some views and just enough elevation gain to get a solid BUTT workout!
