FOREST PARK DESCRIPTION:
FOREST PARK (along with Lithia Park) is the gem of Southern Oregon’s park system.
Located a mile outside of Jacksonville, the Forest Park Trails are a literal maze of 24 amazing paths that rise and fall within the Jackson Creek watershed, making it a fave “in-town” hike spot.
Rushmore explores the system, with a dedicated team guiding you to complete a moderate Choose Our Own Adventure hike.
On weekends, we may extend the hike, in the evenings, our Team knows the best quick and easy routes.
Whatever your jam, Forest Park has it, and with the Rushmore team, you’ll be kicking it and exploring without getting lost…much.
The Rail Trail is the easiest and simplest path in the Park. However, it is still easy to get a little confused with so many trail options.
Rushmore to the rescue!
We will guide along the Rail Trail, and reach parking lot #4, at which point we can return, go a little further to Canyon Falls (see event headline picture), OR explore and possibily complete the slightly more challenging Ol’ Miners Trail for better views.
Members looking for a shroter adventure will have the opportunity to easily turn around at the first stop, while some of the group may go longer.
The cool part about Forest Park is it provides a WIDE array of trail options that are well mapped, good for any workout!
Members, for more Forest Park Trail info, and all the Adventures in the Park, just ask us, we’d be happy to give you the lay of the land!
