RUSHMORE HIKE BASICS:
The Rushmore Society, your real life social network of very busy people, INVITE OUR MEMBERS to join us on our famous Southern Oregon hikes. It’s one of the easiest, coolest ways to meet neato active people!
We’ve got our fingers crossed, that we can safely and appropriately begin our outdoor Adventure season, and provide it to OUR MEMBERS.
**We usually offer our services to general public, but in order to safely distance from each other, we need to limit attendance.

COMPLETE APPLEGATE LAKE DETAILS:
Do More, Live More Hikers unite, we’re headed out to Applegate Lake for a classic spring adventure exploring around the rim of this Southern Oregon ✨GEM✨traveling roughly 7 miles along the Gulch-Payette Trail.
APPLEGATE LAKE IS RATED “E” FOR EASY covering 7 miles with small elevation gain.
We will utilize the French Gulch-Payette Trail within the vast Applegate Lake trail system. The entire trail is a 13.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Jacksonville, Oregon that features a lake and is rated easy.
From a previous hiker: “Awesome trail following the lakeshore. Beautiful outlooks and numerous spots to jump in the lake to cool off in the hot summer months. Very peaceful. It is one of my favorites for trail running when you dont want intense hills (though there are plenty of hill options to go off on). My dog loves it too…of course she gets to swim a lot!! Very little foot/bike traffic.”
