RUSHMORE HIKE BASICS:
The Rushmore Society, your real life social network of very busy people, INVITE ALL to join us on our famous Southern Oregon hikes. It’s one of the easiest, coolest ways to meet neato active people!

WHAT TO BRING: Snacks/Lunch – Water – Camera – Smile – Sunscreen – Hat – Good Trail Shoes – Head Lamp or Flashlight if you happen to have one (not necessary).
CASTLE CRAGS HIKE SPECIFICS:
CONNECTION POINT: Luna Cafe Parking Lot
CARPOOL DEPARTURE: 8:35am
ESTIMATED RETURN: 7:00 pm
DOGS: NO, no, nope, not in Cali
POST-HIKE EATS: Yaks on 5, a tradition
Castle Crags is an 80 minute drive south on I-5. It is truly a beautiful and unique place to explore, providing a doable but challenging hike with incredible views of our region. See header picture.
Climbing all the way up to the top of the Castle Crags Dome is the goal, HOWEVER, you will still have a spectacular time and get great views if you choose not to go to the very top.
We’ll show you the safest route, laugh, snap rad photos, and get a solid workout in. If at any point you wish to stop, Castle Crags provides gorgeous terrain sure to satisfy.
Ancient granite defines the upper portion of the trail, and on a clear day you can see Mt. Lassen, Shasta, and the Grey Mountains.
