Rushmore invites ALL our members to our famous Adventure Events in 2024!
Every month, Rushmore provides adventurous opportunities to get out and explore Southern Oregon.
This year includes 3 snowshoes, cosmic sledding, 3 rafting trips, Klamath Lake canoeing, Crater Lake Ziplining, rock climbing and mountain biking days, and our famous 18-hike series — so join us today!

LAKE TO LAKE HIKE SPECIFICS:
A beautiful hike, followed by live music by rock ‘n soul group, Mercy, and amazing BBQ from Lake of Woods Resort. See full description below.
TWO CONNECTION POINTS:
ASHLAND: Luna Cafe (lower parking lot)
MEDFORD: North Fred Meyers (locksmith kiosk)
WHEN: Both at 11 am
DEPARTURE: 15 min after connection
ESTIMATED RETURN: 8 pm if bbq, 6 pm if not
RESTROOMS: yes
DOGS: Yes, dogs are allowed
CARPOOLING: yes, organized at connection point
ALSO BRING: Swim clothes to hop in Lake!

What can we say, don’t miss this special day.
Rushmore combines a beautiful one-way hike adventure between Fish Lake and Lake of the Woods, and times it perfectly for The LOTW Resort’s BBQ and Live Music!
You’ll be walking through lava fields and unique landscapes in the shadow of Mt. McLoughlin and Brown Mountain.
The reward?
Hopping in Lake of the Woods lake, and boogieing down to tunes and sloppy bbq.
CARPOOLING: carpooling is always available for Rushmore members. This is organized at the connection point.
HOW THIS WORKS
If you simply HAVE to know
Every little detail 🙂
We meet at one of two carpool points.
MEDFORD: after meeting up at North Fred Meyers, the Medford crew’s first stop is Fish Lake at noon, where some cars are left.
ASHLAND: after meeting up at Luna Cafe, the Ashland crew’s first stop in Lake of the Woods at noon, where we enter, and leave some cars.
THEN: a few cars from the Medford crew at Fish Lake come to pick up the Ashland Crew at Lake of the Woods, and take us to meet with everyone at Fish Lake, where we begin the hike.
THEN, WE ALL HIKE from Fish Lake to Lake of the Woods.
UPON ARRIVAL, we try to time it so that the Resort’s yummy BBQ food is coming in hot around 4:30 pm.
GET IN LINE, eat, drink, sip, dance, hop in Lake.
WHATEVER, IT’S A PARTY.
EVENTUALLY, we carpool back to Fish Lake, where the Medford crew’s cars await to go home.
An equal number of seats to participants are organized so that everyone has a ride back from Lake of Woods to Fish Lake if needed.
Rushmore makes this special day easy with car dropoffs between the lakes, so you simple ride home from the end point.
If driving yourself, please note this and arrive at Fish Lake at noon.
