COMPLETE SODA MT. DESCRIPTION:
Do More, Live More Hikers unite, we’re headed out to explore some of the Valley’s best 360 degree views from Soda Mountain, located just outside Ashland in the Klamath National Forest.
SODA MOUNTAIN IS RATED “EM” FOR EASY-MOD & covers 4 miles with brief significant elevation gain.
A lightly trafficked out and back trail that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels, Soda Mountain offers a number of activity options and various trail choices can add distance and difficulty.
To summit and reach the fire watch tower of Soda Mountain, we begin on the PCT headed South 1.1mi. We come to a trail junction on our left, take it up .2mi. This brings us to a road and we’ll turn right and head up .8mi to the summit. The views are hard to beat.
From there, we may explore further from along the PCT or Hyatt Lake. Sky’s the limit, literally.
