Every month, Rushmore provides adventurous opportunities to get out and explore Southern Oregon.
This year includes 3 snowshoes, cosmic sledding, 3 rafting trips, Klamath Lake canoeing, Crater Lake Ziplining, rock climbing and mountain biking days, and our famous 18-hike series — so join us today!

EAST A.R.T. HIKE DESCRIPTION:
The recently completed East Applegate Ridge Trail (East ART) is slowly becoming a regional favorite, with quality views and in May – June, lots of wildflowers!
Rushmore members describe this as a “M” for Moderate adventure, as we cover 5 total miles (or 10 for those wishing to) and two miles of incline, followed by 3 rolling miles of strolling.
The trail itself is well-maintained, though it can be narrow in some places, and please be prepared for poison oak, ticks and sun exposure.
Never fear, Rushmore to the rescue.
Our dedicated team will guide along this new one-way journey by first leaving a car at the Sterling Creek Rd. trailhead, then quickly driving to the 238 trailhead.
