The Rushmore Society, your Social Network of Very Busy People, invites our members and their invitees interested in becoming a member of the chilliest, most positive posse around, to a lazy day of floating the Rogue River.
ALL THE BASICS:
It’s a rite of passage every summer in Southern Oregon, the 3.5 hour section of the Rogue River along Shady Cove, and the best way to do it is with Rushmore. Get ready to paddle and laugh all day long.
This year we are offering SOLO and DUO Tahiti’s, and 12′ 2-4 person rafts in place of our usual larger 8-10 people raft boats.
You know, for obvious reasons. Perhaps you’ve heard about it in the news. ? After purchasing a ticket, we’ll ask who wants a solo, and who wants a duo raft, and who will ride is a small 2-4 person raft.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
ABILITY LEVEL: novice. This trip is a SOCIAL FLOAT. While you can definitely get some rapids, you can also avoid them completely, and float your day away. As long as you can swim, you can participate!

MEET: 9 am at the North Fredy’s, near the Locksmith Kiosk in the northwest corner of the parking lot
GETTING RAFTS TO RIVER: transportation is a little different this year. First, we may be driving more cars than normal to avoid close contact. Second, we may need to transport ourselves to the drop in point (normally there is van service). This will be organized on Facebook pre-float once we’ve got a head count of participants.
SAVE TIME: We’ll Print their waiver ahead of time, and have you sign at our carpool point.
CAN I BRING MY OWN BOAT: Yes. Please contact us for specific information. You do not have to purchase a ticket, but you may be responsible for transporting your boat. However, we often have others doing the same., and we can connect you to coordinate on making it easy!
TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED: Five days in advance. You can usually still join after that, but YOU are responsible for calling (541) 878 – 2500 to make a personal reservation. Call to check on boat availability, and ask to join the Rushmore reservation, and pay full price.
