The Rushmore Society, your real life social network of very busy people, INVITE OUR MEMBERS to join us on our famous Southern Oregon hikes. It’s one of the easiest, coolest ways to meet neato active people!
We’ve got our fingers crossed, that we can safely and appropriately begin our outdoor Adventure season, and provide it to OUR MEMBERS.
We usually offer our services to general public, but in order to safely distance from each other, we need to limit attendance.

HIKE DIFFICULTY RATING: easy to moderate
HIKE DISTANCE: Various trail options – 3.5 miles
Soda Mountain is a 4 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options, AND various trail choices can add distance and difficulty.
It’s also really easy to DISTANCE on most of this trail, and as the climb is done on a wide forest road 😉
To summit and reach the fire watch tower of Soda Mountain, we begin on the PCT headed South 1.1mi. We come to a trail junction on our left, take it up .2mi. This brings us to a road and we’ll turn right and head up .8mi to the summit. The views are hard to beat.
From there, we may explore further from along the PCT or Hyatt Lake. Sky’s the limit, literally.
