The Rushmore Society, your real life social network of very busy people, is stoked to present our nine-event 2019 Winter Adventure Series.
Nine snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and sledding adventures designed and organized to get everyone out the door exploring, working out, falling down, laughing, Doing More and Living more all winter long.
BASICS FOR THIS EVENT:
Our third 2019 Adventure is a wonderful venture up to Hyatt Lake for an intermediate 3.5 mile cross country loop out to the Hyatt Lake Boat Dock, right along the Lake. With clear skies, expect a great winter view of Mt. McLoughlin.
CARPOOLING: Have a snow-worthy vehicle? Want to drive? Our day begins with a meet up at Mountain Provisions in Ashland to rent XC skis (packages are $20 for all the equipment you need). Once everyone has got their gear, we will depart (around 11am). Drive yourself or hop in a snow-worthy vehicle.
*Note: we can only 100% guarantee seats for our official members, but this is rarely a problem. Chains may be required.
**Each vehicle planning to drive needs a $4 SnoPark Pass that can be purchased at any outdoor store.
DESIGNATED EQUIPMENT CAR: we will have one car that is used for carrying all your gear, if need be.
CHALLENGE LEVEL: You must be in good physical condition to complete this cross country ski. Overall, the route is mostly flat and moderate. Questions, just ask us!
COST and RENTING: we recommend the following awesome local businesses to rent skis (complete packages are around $20) — Mountain Provisions and Northwest Outdoor Store –Black Bird in Meddy.

FINAL NOTES: RUSHMORE is a social adventure network, not an outdoor guide team. We invite all to participate at their own risk. Regardless, each participant will be required to sign a waiver to cover our butts.
