The Rushmore Society, your real life Social Network of Very Busy People invite our members and special friends of members to an easy whitewater float along the most scenic corners of the Lower Rogue River.

BASIC EVENT INFO:
ABILITY LEVEL: Novice. This all-abilities, solo raft float does include just enough Class-II action to keep it interesting, but nothing too big. Easily completed by novice solo rowers. Think floating with the occasional big splash!
MEET: 9:15 am at the Orange Torpedo Raft Company (Post Office across the street from the O.P.R.C is ideal for parking).
WHAT TO BRING: Water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, etc.

CAN I BRING MY OWN BOAT: Yes. Please contact us for specific information. You do not have to purchase a ticket, but you may be responsible for transporting your boat. However, we often have others doing the same., and we can connect you to coordinate on making it easy!

TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED: Seven days in advance. You can usually still join after that, but YOU are responsible for calling (541) 479 – 5061 to make a personal reservation. Call to check on boat availability, ask to join the Rushmore reservation, and pay full price.

Relaxing Afternoon: Trip length – 4 hours from time you meet us, typically a little over 3 hours of actual floating. Highlights include:
- Put-in – Hog Creek
- Take-out – Galice Resort
- Distance – 7 miles
- Biggest Rapid: Class II
- All the gear you need
- We take care of all your logistics
- Float through 2 incredible canyons
- Lots of swimming opportunities
- Most beginner friendly section of the Rogue River day section
This float launches at Hog Creek and takes out at Galice Store. Plan on being on the river about 3 hours.
Float through the incredibly scenic Hellgate Canyon and Taylor Creek Canyon. Challenge yourself with four class II rapids, Dunn Riffle, Rooster Tail, Upper Galice, and Lower Galice. There are a few other smaller rapids as well. Plenty of swimming opportunities and amazing scenery make this the ideal “first-timer” half-day option.
