SHARE OR LISTEN – ALL WELCOME:
The Rushmore Society, your real life social network of very busy people, INVITE ALL to attend a unique evening of storytelling told through journals, social media posts, art and pictures from your Seventh Grade years (6th – 9th grade).
HOW DOES MORTIFIED WORK?
For those that choose to share, bring an old journal entry, copy of a social media post, or a picture or piece of art that tells an Old School story from your past.
Craft your story any way you wish, as long as it comes from the Seventh Grade years, defined as grades 6 through grades 9 (freshman year).
Got journal entries from the 7th grade, read’em VERBATIM. Need to develop a story, write it before hand. Got a piece of art with a story attached, perfect, visual aids are encouraged! Almost anything works. Follow the Facebook event page from complete details.
FUNNY, MEANINGFUL, SAD, IT ALL WORKS:
Past Mortified events have brought out laughter, tears, and most of all a sense that we ALL lived through it, and we ALL survived. It is this universal truth that makes Mortified: Seventh Stories an event not to miss!
The only requirement is that you prep your story ahead of time. This isn’t to say that you have to WRITE it down, only that you have prepared to present or read your story.
