HIKING DISTANCE: 5.5 miles, 679 ft. elev. Gain
HIKE DIFFICULTY: Moderate, 6 out of 10
HIKE TIME: 2.5 hrs.
MORE HIKE DETAILS: The trail traverses and switchbacks up from the parking lot through woods and meadows. After 1.1 miles, the loop trail begins. The summit of Grizzly Peak is to the right but the best views are found at the apex of the loop! The trail takes a tour through a burnt section of forest. Walking through this portion of trail really illustrates fire ecology as the forest works to rebuild itself.
